Boteco do Fim do Mundo

The bar's front at night under the red end-of-the-world sky: the rolling shutter open with the four bartenders, Caramelo on the sidewalk and customers arriving.

It's not a bar. It's a boteco.

Every night is the end of the world. The boteco opens anyway, and holding it together is up to you and up to 3 friends.

Your bar. Your debt. Your mess.

The corner “boteco” is yours now, together with the debt to old Seu Zé, cardboard over the broken windows and “YOU OWE ZÉ” sprayed on the door. Pull the lever, the shutter rolls up and the night begins: customers coming in, orders going out, cash in your hands and a mess on the floor.

Everything is done by hand, in first person. Grab the bottle from the fridge, carry it to the customer, take the bundle of cash and put it in the register. There is no “deliver” button. The first night teaches the basics, step by step.

The bar's front with the shutter down and DEVE AO ZÉ (YOU OWE ZÉ) sprayed on it, Caramelo sitting in front.
“DEVE AO ZÉ” (you owe Zé): how every end-of-the-world bar begins.

Highlights

In-game screenshot: three players in different shirts behind the blue-tiled counter, with a line of customers and the order tickets on screen.

Solo or with up to 3 friends

In online co-op, one player opens the bar and friends join to work together. The more people behind the counter, the more customers come in, and the more things go wrong. Every tool is in one person's hands at a time, and everyone sees who has the broom, the fire extinguisher or the card machine. Invite your friends through Steam, no IP and no extra software.

The chaos of the night

A bar fight, a fire on the griddle, a power outage, a clogged toilet, a police checkpoint at the door and the health inspector. Every night goes wrong in a new way, and you fix it with your own hands.

Fix it up

Every night earns money and experience. Level up the bar and buy what changes it on the spot: more tables, fresh paint, new window glass, a second fridge, a ceiling fan, a kitchen, a jukebox, a pool table, football on TV and a stage with live samba.

The regulars

Every boteco has its regulars: the table that calls for the waiter, the one paying by Pix, the one who puts it on the tab and the critic with his little notebook. There's also Caramelo, the stray dog sniffing around the room, and Seu Zé, keeping an eye on your debt.

Everyday bar work

  • Counter and tables: 1-liter beers, cachaça, soda, sugarcane juice and fresh caipirinhas... and the table customer yelling for the waiter.
  • Every way to pay: cash in the register, card on the machine, Pix instant transfers checked on the statement (some are fake) and the tab written in the credit notebook.
  • Kitchen: fries and pastéis in the fryer, onion sausage on the griddle and snacks in the counter display.
  • Stock: order on the computer, wait for the supplier's van out back and carry the boxes to the fridge and the shelves.
  • Cleaning: broom for puddles and broken glass, plunger for the toilet and trash bags out to the street.

Nights you'll tell stories about

  • Bar fight: from shouting to flying glasses. Hold to break it up, or end it with a blast of the extinguisher.
  • Kitchen fire: the griddle catches fire and someone has to run in with the extinguisher.
  • Shutter down: trouble outside, and someone has to roll the shutter down in time.
  • Medical emergency: a customer needs help? Run to the street payphone and call the ambulance.
  • Police and inspectors: the patrol, a checkpoint at the door and the health inspector. All in order, or you're busted, with a fine.
  • And more: Caramelo the stray dog, power outages, clogged toilets, a leaking roof, a jammed door and the thief who grabs the box you left in the garage.

It's not a bar. It's a boteco.

Twelve seconds of in-game scenes: the rolling shutter, the room, Caramelo, the credit notebook and a kitchen fire. The video only plays when you press play.

No game over

Closed the night in the red? Seu Zé covers it and adds it to your debt, with interest. The bar never closes for good: there is always the next night.
