Doubyte

Privacy

In short: this site has no cookies, trackers or analytics, and the game has no account and doesn't collect your data.

This page covers the doubyte.com.br website and the game Boteco do Fim do Mundo. Last updated October 12, 2026.

Who we are

Doubyte, an independent one-person studio from Brazil (run by Navez). Contact: contato@doubyte.com.br.

The website

This site tracks no one. No forms, no accounts, no cookies, no trackers, no ads and no analytics. Every text, image, font and video is served by the site itself: no page calls another server while you browse. That's why there is no cookie banner: there are no cookies to accept.

Server logs. Like any website, the hosting server (Hostinger) logs each request to work and to protect itself from attacks: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser. We don't use these logs to identify anyone or build profiles; they stay with the host for as long as it keeps them.

Email. If you write to contato@doubyte.com.br or imprensa@doubyte.com.br, we use your address and message only to reply. To have the conversation deleted, just ask.

The test area. Test builds sit in an area protected by a username and password we give to each tester. The server stores the username and only a hash of the password, never the password itself. Once you log in, the area uses a session cookie only to keep you logged in: it is gone when you close the browser or after 12 hours. To slow down password guessing, the server keeps failed attempts for 15 minutes, tied to the IP address and the username typed, both stored hashed.

External links. Links to Steam, Instagram or Discord take you to sites with their own policies.

The game

What the game does not do. No account of ours, no server of ours, no ads, no sale of data. We do not collect your name, email, location or anything that identifies you.

What goes through Steam. Purchases, achievements, friends, invites and the connection between players (including voice chat, which goes player to player over Steam's network) are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy. Other players in your session see your Steam name and hear your voice if your microphone is on. Voice is never recorded or stored. You can mute any player and set each player's volume. Only your Steam friends can join your session.

What stays on your PC. Saves, settings and the error log stay on your PC. The YOUR MUSIC radio station plays files from Documents/BotecoDoFimDoMundo/Musicas and sends nothing anywhere.

Report a problem. The REPORT A PROBLEM button creates a zip on your PC with the log and the save. It only reaches us if you send it (Discord or email). We use it only to fix the bug and delete it once fixed. The log may include your Steam name and PC details (graphics card, OS).

Test builds. Test builds outside Steam read a public file on GitHub at startup to check whether the version is still valid. Like opening any web page, GitHub sees your IP address; the game sends nothing about you. The Steam version does not do this.

Discord. If you join the game's Discord, Discord's policy applies. Moderators and the team's bot read the channels to follow bugs and suggestions.

Children. The game is meant for adults, not for children. We collect no data from anyone, including minors.

Your rights (Brazil's LGPD and similar laws)

We keep no data about you, except an email or a bug zip you chose to send. To have it deleted, or for any question, write to contato@doubyte.com.br. We answer within 15 days.

Changes

If the site or the game ever starts storing data, this page changes first, with the date at the top.
